Mauro Stemberger

Mauro Stemberger was born in 1978 in Feltre, Italy, and works as an architect and bonsai artist. At age 14 he was fascinated with Bonsai Art and started his passion with the local Bonsai Feltre club. During the period 1994-2001 he took the step to join workshops with important European bonsai masters such as Hotsumi Terakawa, Marc Noelander, Horst Crekler, Edoardo Rossi and many more. In 2002, during a meeting in Arco, Hola, he had the fortune to meet Alfiero Suardi and Enrico Savini, thanks to them he was able to improve his technique and. He studied architecture at the IUAV university in Venice. In 2005 he founded the Italian Bonsai Dream workshop with a group of enthusiasts to work and enjoy 360° bonsai art.

In 2006 he graduated as an Architect and started working in his own city.

Since 2007 he writes articles for the most important bonsai magazines such as Bonsai Focus, UBI bonsai and BCI bonsai & stone appreciation magazine.

From 2008 to 2010 he was president of UBI (Italian bonsai association) and director of the UBI bonsai magazine. Since 2011 he was founded with a group of students (Italian Bonsai Dream School) in Garden Verde – Marostica.
